Deep rich tones are my happy place, and this shoot had it. I’ve had this idea of an editorial styled session for some time now. I’ve noticed I’ve been workflow shooting…I’ve not been taking steps outside my comfort area and trying anything new. I knew how I liked to shoot, what lens I liked shooting with and what kind of light I liked shooting in. Was that bad? No. But it certainly wasn’t forcing me to grow and learn new techniques. Sometimes you just have to try something new. Not be afraid of failure, or if others will accept it.
This was exactly what I was hoping for. If you’re a photographer, I highly suggest shooting for yourself every once in a while. Stay inspired.
When I find places, venders and things that I love, I like to share them with others. We’re all in this together right? So let me tell you a little bit about the venue, The Grandview. This building downtown Ada was the PERFECT setup for this. They have a gorgeous finished main floor with a ceiling thats jaw dropping gorgeous. They also have this upper floor that I used for the shoot. I can’t even tell you how stunning this space is. Any photographers looking to rent a space for a session, this is where its at. Wedding, parties, whatever event you have…this is a great space to use. Check them out!
